Taya Belle

Tonight we went and met our newest niece, little Taya Belle. She's got tons of hair and she had her eyes open most of the time we were there. She's beautiful and we're so excited to be Aunt Caren and Uncle Dusty to another baby girl! Congrats Dani and Matt!

This is what happens when I have Spring Break ... I have time to craft.

And a few more pics...

These are the pictures off our underwater camera. In Grand Cayman we got to swim with Stingrays! Everyone said that was the 'thing' to do there. We were a little nervous because Steve Irwin died from one of these things but our guide explained that the only part of a stingray that was dangerous was it's tail. I always thought it would sting you, like shock you if you touched it but they said it's like a giant toothpick. They use it against sharks if they are in danger, they'll stick it strait up so the shark can't bite down. So we got in there with the stingrays and they were so nice.
First we fed the stingrays. It felt like a vacuum sucking the food out of your hand. They were soft and slippery and they would come swim right up to you. It was amazing!

Here are the pictures from hiking the waterfall in Jamaica. It was so nice that they let us take our own camera on this tour. Here are some of our favorites!
This was right when we jumped in. The water was a little chilly but nothing like Utah waterfalls.

Pics Finally

Well since Dustin put me on the spot and my sister-in-law that lives in Texas has been asking me to update my blog for the past 3 months I guess I'll finally give in. My motivation for blogging was completely gone. I still love reading other peoples so thanks for all the updates and I'll try to be better. It's a little overwhelming when you've taken such a long break from blogging, I mean where do you even start? This time I'll start with the pictures that Dustin was talking about from our Cruise and then we'll go from there.
WARNING: There are a LOT of pictures!
The most amazing water I've ever seen. Small boat ride out to Stingray City. Coconuts on the beach, does it get any better than that? Our home away from home. Coconuts in Jamaica from a real Jamaican. We found the church in Jamaica as we were walking the streets. Hiking Dunns River Falls in the Jamaican rainforest. The waterfall went all the way down to the beach where we started our hike. Then we hiked all the way to the top. It was beautiful! Our super fun waiters for dinner. Jet skiing in Costa Maya. While we were out there we saw a HUGE sea turtle just swimming around. It was so cool. He kept bobbing his head up and down. This was the beautiful sand bar in Costa Maya. Us to happy love birds on the beach, one of our favorite places to be! We rode 4 wheelers up the beach to get to where we went jet skiing. On the way our guide stopped to show us this big spider monkey. Boat ride up the river in Guatamela. I thought this would be my least favorite place but it ended up being my favorite! It was so beautiful there. Pics from our trip up the river. We saw so many birds that would fly in these huge flocks right by our little boat. I really felt like we were in a Discovery Channel show or something.
We got to get off at a few different spots. Once to walk through a cave and the other time in the jungle to this little community. It was beautiful!

still alive

The pressure...finally got to me. If you don't blog, you're boring, right? Also - tired of staring at our Twilight post every time I pull up our blog to see if anybody we care about has updated theirs. Sorry it's been a while if you like reading this kind of stuff. I guess if you consider blog posts about kids, which we obviously don't have, and recipes, which we really don't have either, then we post about as much as anybody else (actually, it probably ends up being a little more). Nothing too exciting to fill you in on at the moment. We're enjoying life and staying busy. Caren's still teaching, and I'm still dealing. Sounds narcotic, but it's not. = ) We've been on a couple of good vacations since the last post. Working hard to feed that beach addiction, ya know.? Maybe Caren can post a couple of pictures of that later since I don't know how. Between work, church, Lost, American Idol, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, The Bachelor, eating out, sleeping, and some bow chica wow wow, we are happily married. I just used church and bow chica wow wow in the same sentence! That should make up for having a boring blog. Since the last post, we've had Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and the most important day ever - Groundhogs day. 29 feels older than it should, so I think it's time for a gym membership. It's nice to be around family in UT. It's really nice to fly to TX and see family that we're not around. Still feels like we're winging life and shooting from the hip so to speak. Wondering if any big changes are around the corner...we get an itch to switch things up a little about every six months (going on 8 now, so maybe we'll really have something to blog about soon). Yeap...

I WON!

Isn't winning something, no matter what it is the best! Well the other day on my way to work the radio was giving away tickets to go see NEW MOON, so I decided that I would call in. I've tried this a few times and usually call for a few minutes with nothing but a busy signal. This time on the second try it started ringing. I thought, "I'm probably caller three, that was fast". Then the guy answers and starts asking me my name and where I work and how I'm doing. I was thinking, no way, no way, no way. It's true though... I won 2 tickets to see New Moon! This is extra awesome because I was going to see it anyways, now we get to go for free. It looks so good, even Dustin wants to go see it!

Mike Tyson

Just thought I'd let everybody know that Caren tried to punch me for some lame joke while we were eating out at my favorite Peruvian restaurant last night. Somehow, she punched herself in the jaw and completely missed me. ha It reminded me of our second date where we decided to skip rocks across the water at Rock Canyon Park, and her first throw aimed at the water sailed the opposite direction skipping through the rocks behind us...I still don't know how that happened either. There are few things as hilarious as seeing somebody try to hit you and popping herself in the face, though. Luckily, she's tough enough to withstand her own strength - no injuries. I'll also let everybody know that she's the best wife a guy could wish for. I'm lucky to have such a happy, loving, and beautiful person in my life (who is talking really crazy in her sleep right this moment).

I LOVE COUPONS

This last month I have been collecting coupons because I have heard you can save a lot of money and get great deals (and because our tennants didn't cancel their paper for a few weeks after we moved in). My neighbor did a class that showed us how to organize and use all the coupons to get the best deals. I made my first trip today and I am SOLD on coupon shopping! I went to Smith's because they were having a big sale and I took my coupons. Aside from the one little glitch that I quickly fixed, it was super easy and I got 135 dollars of groceries for 29 BUCKS!!! In that purchase I got 8 bottles of Herbal Essence stuff (moouse, shampoo and conditioner) and each bottle cost me only 50 cents. Isn't that amazing! Here is a picture so you can appreciate how much I really got for $29.
P.S. I just got back from Walgreens where I got 10 candybars for FREE! This is seriously awesome! :)
